Dubai Goes Dystopian In Stunningly Haunting Fog Photography
We are no strangers to Dubai’s beauty, but seeing Arab’s darling city in fog is just too much exquisiteness to handle. The way the vapor swirls around these gigantic buildings flawlessly blends nature with corporation.
French photographer of Chinese descent, Daniel Cheong, started his career in the telecom industry, but soon turned to his camera after discovering the world of High Dynamic Range photography. Cheong calls himself a roof topper and he couldn’t be more accurate.
In his series “Dubai Fog”, he captures the city’s beauty from the highest roof tops from around Dubai using a Digital Blending technique where multiple bracketed exposures are manually blended for a maximum dynamic range.
The results are jaw dropping. Dubai looks like a dystopian world and in a couple of shots like a corporate sleek version of Mordor from Lord of the rings.
