My name is Dr. Mohamed Mongy Kheiralla. I graduated from Cairo University in 2004. I hold a Masters Degree in dermatology, Masters Degree in Hospital Management from the AUC. What does the actual Fraxel procedure entail?
First, I want to be clear that FRAXEL is a brand name that invented fractional laser technology and not like any other lasers as some people might claim. The laser hand piece moves on the skin in a paintbrush like motion. Thereby millions of microscopic injuries are deployed on the skin that when healed, stimulate collagen type III production, and also kick out the dark pigmentation from the surface of the skin.
How long does it take to see results? How many treatments are needed?
With the new Fraxel DUAL, results are achieved from the first session for superficial conditions.
