Book worms rejoice! The biannual book fair at Dokki will be held from August 5th to August 10th at the Ebda3 villa. Offering thousands of books at a reduced price in various categories, be sure to mark it on your calendars!
What is the Dokki Book Fair?
This fair started out as a small endeavor that has now expanded to be a full fledged event. This year, the fair is launching in collaboration with over 43 publishing houses in Egypt, including household names such as Dar Al-Shorouk, The Egyptian-Lebanese Publishing House, Nahdet Misr, Al Karma, Kayan, and Aseer Al-Ktob.
This year, the fair houses around one million books at a reduced price. The books offered include used and new books, and flagship works from the featured publishing houses. Being close to Cairo University, the fair is a great space for researchers and students alike. Not to mention, the fair offers other cultural activities and workshops that will be announced when the fair commences.
To compare, last year’s fair hosted 35 local and international publishing houses, and sold over 10 thousand used, free, and new books at reduced prices.
