#CaptainsOfCareem: The Traveler

At just 24 years old, this Syrian Careem driver made the greatest sacrifice of his life for his family and fled his homeland for a new start in Egypt.

“Egypt is my second home,” he told us. “I had to flee my first home, Syria. God forgive whoever made us do that.”

With the civil war erupting in Syria, Abdelrahman Haider left his life as he knew it along with his two younger brothers and parents.

He now lives in 6th of October working as a Careem driver and is the sole breadwinner for his family, along with studying Business Management at Cairo University.
