Breaking: Egypt PM Announces Lockdown Updates to Come Into Effect This Saturday
During today’s press conference, Egypt’s Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly stated that Egypt is paving the way for a gradual opening of all its activities, while maintaining the necessary safety measures.
Madbouly announced that starting this Saturday, cafes, clubs, cinemas, and theaters will reopen starting with a 25% capacity, while parks and beaches will remain closed for the time being; cafes will still not offer shisha. Shops must close at 9 pm, and restaurants at 10 pm.
Mosques and churches will also reopen for daily prayers, but mass prayers, like Friday prayers at mosques and Sunday prayers at churches, will not resume. Public transportation facilities will work until 12 am. The curfew will now be imposed only from 12 am to 4 am.
He also highlighted that pharmaceutical companies are working around the clock to put an end to the issue of medicinal shortages in pharmacies.
