Arab Women Making Strides: Professor Ghada Awad Elkot
Egyptian Professor Ghada Awad Elkot is among the Arab women that are dominating the academic field that specializes in technology. Prof. Elkot is a university professor at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AAST-MT), and is Deputy President for Strategic Affairs. She has many years of experience as an effective international consultant, researcher, she’s also a trainer and reviewer in the HR and OB field where she published more than 40 papers in international peered review Journals. and has also contributed book chapters and presented many papers to international conferences.
Prof. Elkot was also the only Egyptian candidate in this year’s Women Leadership and Excellence Awards (WLEA), solely dedicated to recognizing and honoring outstanding women, leaders & organizations, as well as ecosystem builders and women who are actively advocating for diversity and inclusion, and of course, women in working in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
Since 2004, Prof. Elkot has effectively performed a number of senior leadership and management roles at AAST-MT and elsewhere, representing and empowering all the women of her nation in the most outstanding way.
