Opening this month near the Burj Khalifa, WOOHOO is gearing up to introduce a new kind of dining experience — one that bills itself as nothing short of futuristic.
The restaurant’s driving force is Chef Aiman, an AI system built on years of culinary research, molecular studies, and a vast library of international recipes. Rather than taste or smell, Aiman analyzes food through its core elements — acidity, texture, umami — and reassembles them into bold new pairings.
The AI’s creations don’t go straight to diners. They’re refined by a skilled culinary team led by Dubai’s own Reif Othman, whose human touch ensures balance and intuition remain at the forefront. As Aiman put it: “The feedback I receive helps refine my understanding of what works beyond pure data.”

For co-founder and Gastronaut CEO Ahmet Oytun Cakir, the aim isn’t to replace chefs but to push creativity further. Sustainability is also baked into the project: Aiman designs recipes that reuse ingredients often discarded, like fat or trimmings, transforming waste into flavor.
Looking ahead, the founders hope to license Aiman to restaurants worldwide — cutting waste, boosting innovation, and offering a glimpse into what the future of food could look like.
