Why #JumiaBlackFriday Became A Life Saver
I’m a sucker for a deal, regardless if it makes sense or not; if it’s 50% off I want it! Why would I need a brand new couch when mine is just fine, why because it was on sale of course.
So when Black Friday parlayed itself into our Middle Eastern lives a couple of years ago with Jumia, the American born and raised adult in me got super excited about the super deals that were about to enter our lives.
With Egypt’s inflation on the rise, it seemed almost near to impossible to be able to afford another Mac computer, having a need to get one for our design team, Jumia’s Black Friday sales seemed like the saving grace.
Finding the Mac Mini was a breeze, by logging onto Jumia.com and hitting up their search section I was able to find the most logically priced option there is in the market, and head straight to checkout.
Once finding that coveted Mini, I was dreading the upcoming steps, having to add the item to my cart, check out and fill out every detail about my life in order to just receive the item. Probably why I refuse to shop online usually!
Having to give credit where it is due though, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that I could log onto Jumia via my Facebook rather than creating another account, which I would most likely forget the username and password to!
Clicking next was all that was needed in order for me to choose whether I wanted to pay by card or cash on delivery. Which was immediately followed up by a phone call from Jumia’s call center confirming all my details and a designated delivery time.
Within three days, items were delivered to our office door’s steps, cash was collected on spot, and their speedy efficient service was unrivaled.
WE SAID THIS: Long gone are the days of having to drive through Cairo traffic to the mall, search for a parking spot, and deal with an annoying sales person! When instead you can do it all from the comfort of your home or office!
