Dubai, we made it through another summer. The temperatures are finally dropping, which means we can stop treating the outdoors like a personal enemy and start making plans again. Rooftop drinks, beachfront dinners, flower-filled gardens, and theme park adventures are officially back on the agenda.
Whether you’re after a cute outdoor date, a family day out, or simply an excuse to spend less time indoors, here are the spots reopening just in time for our favourite Dubai season.
1. Dubai Miracle Garden
Reopened October 8
If Dubai had a way of announcing that outdoor season is back, it would probably involve 200 million flowers. Spanning around 72,000 square metres, Dubai Miracle Garden is once again turning Dubailand into a colourful floral wonderland, with elaborate flower sculptures and picture-perfect paths to explore.
The garden is open until May 31, 2027, so there’s plenty of time to plan a visit, get your camera roll ready, and pretend you just casually stumbled upon the perfect photo spot.
2. Dubai Parks and Resorts
Reopened October 7
For anyone whose ideal day involves a little adrenaline, a lot of walking, and at least one person screaming on a rollercoaster, Dubai Parks and Resorts is back in business.
MOTIONGATE Dubai, Real Madrid World, LEGOLAND Dubai Resort, and Riverland Dubai have reopened, bringing everything from movie-inspired attractions and football-themed adventures to family-friendly rides and dining. Basically, whether you’re planning a full family outing or just refusing to grow up, there’s something here for you.
3. Global Village
Reopens October 14
The unofficial group-chat answer to “What should we do this weekend?” is back. Global Village returns for its 31st season on October 14, bringing together international pavilions, street food worth queuing for, carnival rides, and plenty of entertainment.
Come for the global food tour, stay for the shopping you didn’t plan on doing, and leave with snacks you’ve never tried before. With so much to explore in one place, you might need more than one visit to get through it all.
4. Ninive
Reopened October 1
If your ideal evening involves a beautiful outdoor setting, Middle Eastern flavours, and absolutely no rush to leave the table, Ninive is calling.
Tucked between the Emirates Towers, this open-air garden majlis brings together lanterns, rugs, and lush greenery against the DIFC skyline. Once the sun sets, Arab-Afro deep house sets the mood, making it the perfect spot to enjoy the breeze, order a few plates to share, and settle in for a long evening under the stars. The menu features dishes such as chicken tagine, lamb chops with zaatar pesto, and beef kibbeh, followed by baklava with mastic ice cream.
It’s the kind of place that makes a long dinner feel like the only plan you need, especially when the weather finally lets you enjoy every minute outdoors.
5. Shimmers
Dinner service reopened; lunch returned October 1
Beachfront dining hits differently when you can actually enjoy sitting outside without melting. At Shimmers, the Aegean-inspired menu comes with a relaxed seaside setting at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam, making it an easy choice for a sunset dinner.
Evenings bring a resident DJ, percussionist, and saxophonist, so you can enjoy your meal with a little live music and sea views in the background. Lunch is back, too, including a three-course business lunch from Monday to Thursday, priced at AED 180 per person.
Whether you’re planning a leisurely lunch or a dinner that stretches well into the evening, this one makes a strong case for staying by the water a little longer.
6. Dubai Safari Park
Reopened October 12
A day out with wildlife, minus the need to book a flight, is back on the cards. Dubai Safari Park has opened for its eighth season, welcoming visitors to explore its different animal habitats and learn more about wildlife conservation.
It’s a great option for families looking to get the kids outside, but let’s be honest: seeing animals up close is hardly an activity reserved for children. With the cooler weather settling in, it’s a good time to make a day of it.
7. Mercury Rooftop
Reopens October 15
Rooftop season without a rooftop bar? Not on our watch. Mercury Rooftop at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach reopens on October 15, bringing back its open-air setting, seasonal sharing plates, and views of the Burj Khalifa.
Whether you’re meeting friends for drinks or planning a date night with a little extra atmosphere, this is your cue to trade indoor plans for cocktails under the stars. Come for the skyline, stay for the evening, and try not to let the view distract you from your drink.

Dubai, Let’s Take This Outside
From flower gardens and theme parks to beachfront restaurants and skyline-facing rooftops, Dubai’s cooler months are all about making the most of being outdoors again. So, text the group chat, pick your scene, and start filling up that calendar. After months of hiding from the heat, we’ve earned a few evenings outside.
