Although this year Shababco isn’t giving much attention to the music side of the festivities, unlike last year, when they hosted a full music stage featuring a wide range of acts, this time they’re, as they put it, going for “No stage. No distractions.” Stripping it back with a solo, dolo headliner, Egyptian rapper Lege-Cy, who will close out the second day of the festival.
He’ll be taking the stage to wrap up day two, but a day earlier, Shababco kicks off at Tanza in 6th of October City. Shababco stands as one of the region’s biggest gatherings of its kind, aiming to champion and harness the energy of Egypt’s creative youth. With over 10,000 visitors anticipated, the event will feature an eclectic marketplace.
The performance will cap off a busy year for Lege-Cy, one that began with the surprise release of his sampledelic full-length album ‘BGD’ in February, which saw him return to a purer rap sound.
Tickets for Shababco are available through Ticketsmarche.
