Human Rights Movement Amnesty International has accused Israel of intentionally starving Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip, citing fresh testimonies from displaced civilians and medical staff treating malnourished children.
The rights group said Israel is “systematically destroying the health, well-being, and social fabric of Palestinian life” through policies designed over the past 22 months to create conditions aimed at the physical destruction of Gaza’s population — actions Amnesty frames as part of an ongoing genocide.
The report draws on recent interviews with 19 displaced Gazans sheltering in makeshift camps and two doctors working in Gaza hospitals. It follows an April statement in which Amnesty charged Israel with committing a “live-streamed genocide” by forcibly displacing Palestinians and engineering a humanitarian catastrophe.
