This Lebanese Artist Is Preserving Lebanon’s Beauty And Culture Through Minimalist Art
Through aesthetic design and modern minimalism, a proud Lebanese artist decided to show his love for his home country, Lebanon. Michel Azar, a Lebanese artist based in Saudi Arabia, started a project called “Labnané” (Lebanese), where he designs Lebanon’s landmark buildings and areas in order to increase awareness of the beauty and grandeur of his country and its people. Inspired by Pablo Picasso and Piet Mondrian, Azar illustrates these monuments using simple, yet catchy designs showcasing the Middle Eastern country’s rich culture and heritage.
From collections of coasters and plates to clocks and magnet hangers, Azar incorporates these designs into usable materials that people can buy and beautify their homes with. With several years of experience in this field, Azar creates memorable masterpieces that spread the colorful and young Lebanese vibes.
