9 Reasons Ekhwaty Will Have Us Glued to Our Screens This Ramadan

Ramadan TV season is upon us, and this year, one series is already stealing the spotlight: Ekhwaty. With an all-star female cast and a thrilling mystery, this show is set to be a game-changer. If you’re not already hyped, here are all the reasons why we absolutely cannot wait for Ekhwaty to hit our screens.

1. Four Female Leads? And Not Just Any!

Move over, male-dominated dramas—Ekhwaty puts four powerhouse actresses in the lead! Nelly Karim, Ruby, Kinda Alloush, and Gihan Elshamashergy are all headlining this series. That can only mean one thing: we’re getting top-tier performances, high emotions, and plenty of drama.

2. 15 Episodes = No Filler, All Thriller

Gone are the days of drawn-out 30-episode Ramadan series with unnecessary subplots. Ekhwaty keeps it tight with just 15 episodes, meaning every scene is action-packed. Expect suspense, shocking twists, and no wasted time in dragging storylines.

3. Kinda Alloush’s Grand Return to Ramadan Series

It’s been a while since we last saw Kinda Alloush in a major TV role, and we’re more than ready for her comeback. Ekhwaty marks her return to Ramadan drama after nine years, since her role in Afrah Al Qobba (2016). With her ability to bring depth and intensity to any character, we are over the moon to have her back.

4. Nelly Karim & Ruby Reunited After 11 Years

Let’s take a moment to appreciate the history here: Nelly Karim and Ruby last shared the screen in Segn El-Nesa (2014), and it was an absolute hit. Now, over a decade later, they’re reuniting. And we have sky-high expectations.

If their chemistry was that good in Segn El-Nesa, imagine what they’ll bring to Ekhwaty. Drama? Check. A note-worthy performance? Double check.

5. A Mystery Penned by Mohab Tarek

Mystery, suspense, and crime—what’s not to love? Ekhwaty revolves around four siblings whose lives take a dark turn. Naglaa, one of the sisters, dreams of her husband’s death… and then it actually happens.

From there, things spiral into a whirlwind of secrets, investigations, and sisterly alliances. It’s giving Gone Girl meets Ramadan drama, and we’re here for it.

But what makes this thriller even more exciting? It’s written by Mohab Tarek, the mind behind Lahzet Ghadab, the last of Ramadan’s suspense series, which kept us on the edge of our seats. If that’s anything to go by, we’re in for a gripping ride.

6. They’re Literally Called ‘The Four Devils’

If the promo is anything to go by, we’re about to witness some serious chaos. The tagline? “You are four devils, not four sisters.” If that doesn’t scream “messy family drama with a side of crime,” we don’t know what does.

7. Dreams, and a Prophecy That Sets Everything in Motion

Ruby is named Ahlam, aka Dreams, the plot is sparked by a strange dream, and the word “dream” keeps popping in the promo. Coincidence? We think not. Dreams seem to play a key role in this story, and we can’t help but wonder where they will take us.

8. Tackling Adoption: Ending the Stigma

Kinda Alloush’s character in Ekhwaty is unable to have children and is considering adoption. This is something rarely explored in regional dramas. We’re thrilled to see the series shedding light on this important topic, and we are interested to see how it will tackle it.

9. The Visionary Director, Mohamed Shaker Khodeir, at the Helm

Behind the camera is Mohamed Shaker Khodeir, a director known for delivering some of the most memorable hits. With projects like Grand Hotel, Taht El Wesaya, La Totfe’ El Shams, and Every Week Has a Friday under his belt, he knows how to craft compelling, emotional, and visually stunning storytelling.

His involvement alone is enough to make us believe Ekhwaty is going to be something special.

With all these reasons to watch, Ekhwaty is shaping up to be one of the most exciting shows of Ramadan 2025. Will it live up to the hype? We’ll have to wait and see, but one thing’s for sure—it’s going to be a wild ride.
