Signal Joins Forces With FDI to Promote Dental Health Care in Egypt For Oral World Health Day

Unilever has taken a step further to raise awareness about oral healthcare across the world through one of their iconic brands, Signal. Signal has become the official sponsor of the World Oral Health Day (WOHD). The brand collaborated with the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Egypt to raise awareness across the country.

Even though WOHD is annually celebrated on 20th of March, Signal has been out leaving its positive impact for almost a month now. More than 450 employees from Signal and FDI are actively involved in the campaign that includes over 83 activations. Those activations are taking place in schools, universities, clubs, and malls across the country’s governorates.

The activations include protection-centered events; which aim to raise awareness about systematic diseases and their effect on oral health. In addition to engaging with people and showing them how to clean their teeth properly. Signal’s program includes school visits, hospital visits, and visits to other public places where people could be examined.

Additionally, there will be other types of events, ranging between ones of scientific, training and social purposes, mainly targeting dentists and dentistry students. Besides organizing social gatherings and trips, scientific sessions are to be held for students to be up to date with what’s happening in their field. A conference, that’s considered to be the biggest of its kind in not only Egypt but in the whole region, will also be held every two years. Signal will also offer training for dentists and dentists-to-be. Other than academic dental-related materials, the training will be providing leadership and other soft skills.

The campaign aims to engage with and help more than 30,000 Egyptian students. So far, they went on visits, not just in Cairo and Alexandria, but also in other governorates and villages. Those include Qina, Ismailia, Port Said, Tanta, Mansoura, and more.

WE SAID THIS: A floss a day, keeps the dentist away!
