What’s Your Path?

We all share the common urge to share, record and remember life. Social Media has really taken us all on a ride of sharing in the past few years that we cant live without anymore. With the increased penetration of smart phones in the mobile market, mobile apps have utilized such social media to new levels that you’re every move can literally be noted down.

The fact that we carry devices equipped with keyboards, cameras, music, location-tracking, and our loved ones just a button-press away, has pushed the limits to how much we can tell our friends, family, followers, tweeps, etc about what we are up to. Those smart guys at Path, have taken all those perks of popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare and devised an app that works with a very smart concept the Smart Journal — a journal that’s with you everywhere you go, posts entries without your effort, combines photo, video, music, people, places, and text, and most importantly, includes your loved ones. Path upholds the expectations for privacy of both the mobile phone and the journal with its limited, intimate, more personal network.

On Path you can share your thoughts, the music you’re listening to, where you are, who you’re with, when you wake and when you sleep, and your photos and videos. If you enjoy sharing your thoughts on the different social media sites, Path allows you to do that too. A feature called Automatic enables Path to learn about you as you go about your daily routine. You can optionally choose to have your Path updated with stories about your life — automatically. Path is a journal that writes itself.

Launched in 2010, Path has grown to have over 2 million users. The app is available for both iPhone and Android. If you are willing, give it a try 🙂
