One word that means the world for every fashion guru and fanatic is Vogue. Since 1892, the lifestyle and fashion magazine has left a fabulous impact on every human alive, and finally the Arab world got its own edition of the world famous magazine.

Vogue Arabia finally launched in Doha, Qatar this week. The launching event for the 22nd international edition of the publication took place at The Museum of Islamic Art and Place Vendôme. Saudi princess and Editor-in-Chief Deena Aljuhani Abdulaziz invited some jaw-dropping guests as Naomi Campbell, Izabel Goulart and Sofia Richie. We just died when he heard Lauryn Hill ended the night with a dazzling performance.

Shashi Menon, CEO and Publisher of Vogue Arabia, noted: “The long-awaited launch of Vogue Arabia is a watershed moment for the region. As a pan-Arab title, it was especially meaningful for us to celebrate the launch here in Doha, at the beautiful Museum of Islamic Art.”

But the one lady who truly nailed her red carpet look had to be our one and only Tara Emad. Rocking a Kojak gown, jeweled by Azza Fahmy and flaunting an Okhtein bag, we were simply wowed by the three Egyptian designers she chose for such an event.

On 7 April 2017 we witnessed the official launch of #VogueArabia, and it really was nothing short of magical. The stunningly intimate affair of fashion leadership took place in #Doha's Museum of Islamic Art, with an extra special performance by the "everything effortless" #MissLaurynHill. Waves of soul and sauce check. Checked. Set on a backdrop of 3D mapping genius, we were delectably whisked into a world so often, so ignorantly misconstrued, (re)presented with a deserved beauty that left many in a mystified awe. Mesmerizing details check. Checked. It didn't stop there… Cultural education lies primarily in experience, a sandy one in this case, with camels, clothing and traditional cuisine, drenched in an Arabian abundance of unrelenting hospitality. Love and appreciation check. Checked. Dearest Deena, your vision is a vision in a vision. Thank you for all that you dream, act upon and are. To Aisha and her wonderful family. To Suzy, Carol and all at #Qatar's Place Vendome. Thank you for sending tingles of pride, vibe, and surprise, throughout. A desert storm of unforgettable proportions check. Checked. Indeed, Vogue Arabia has arrived. And yes that's a toub.
