Twitter Land! The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
So the first time i got on Twitter was around March 2011.. A month after Mubarak resigned. (Yes resigned u morons don’t u get me started!)
Thanks to twitter i have come to learn a lot about people and our country. Like everything in my life, i categorize it by, The good, the bad and the ugly!
So let me break down twitter for you in that light:
The good:
- Thank you Twitter for now I write Arabic.
- Thank you twitter for i got to meet the weirdest, coolest, yuckiest, most annoying, kick ass, fucking brilliant people!
- Thank you twitter for no one ever judged me on anything personal and most importantly my political views that were different back then when i joined.
- Thank you twitter for i would’ve never imagined that 1 day i would actually have a conversation, have coffee, or have a beer with a socialist, a geek, a fashion freak, and most importantly a Sawragy from Tahrir!
- Thank you twitter for allowing me to say anything i want, anywhere i am and most importantly, for getting out the rubbish i have in my head out there on a screen 🙂
The Bad:
- Life does not revolve around you. Like seriously tweeps, there is a world out there and no, you are not “The Sha3b”.
- Tweeps with shit loads of followers.. Let me remind u, you are NOT celebrities! You are NOT god! You do not know everything so chill the fuck out!
- It is OK to tweet a joke that you read somewhere! There are no copyrights on a fucking tweet dudes! So don’t believe the hype, you are NOT writers and you aren’t going to win a Noble Prize, so yes copying tweets is not a crime by law!
The Ugly:
- Tweeps who lie about political views and have personal agendas behind their accounts and tweeps who pretend to be something they are not, may i kindly request you to leave us the hell alone and move to Facebook! That is what you deserve actually, Facebook!
