The Italians of Egypt

Watch this and weep, what have we done to our Egypt! Alexandria used to be flushed with Italians and Greeks, all more Egyptian and patriotic than most of the locals we know.

Nowadays they are far and few in between, most of them having left the country in the 60’s when the religious undercurrents that now haunt Egypt began to arise.

We truly think its a documentary worth checking out brought to you by none other than Al Jazeera, who knows learning a little history about Egypt from first hand Italians who had lived here and still do, may just enlighten us.
