Amr Waked to Star in Another Hollywood Blockbuster
Egypt’s favorite export actor Amr Waked has been cast in yet another Hollywood film after his staring role in Lucy with Scarlett Johansson.
Waked has joined the cast of the new sci-fi action flick Geostorm, which stars the likes of Gerard Butler, Andy Garcia and Ed Harris. The film will be directed by Dean Devlin, who was one of the producers of 1996’s hit movie Independence Day.
According to sources, “Amr Waked has been cast to play a character named Ray Dussette, who’s described as an impatient, intimidating security expert who works hard to keep everyone safe. Butler stars as the French head of security at an international space station when the earth’s climate control satellites fail to function. ”
Warner Brothers will release the film on Oct. 21, 2016.
Waked has made it onto the international scene with movies such as Lucy, Salmon Fishing in the Yemen as well has his appearance on Netflix’s original series Marco Polo.
