Abtal Holyood: Welcome to the Assembly of Egyptian Movie Buffs

From fashion to food and fitness, Cairo has become a hub for all these things and more, thanks to our fellow influencers and their thousands of followers. You see fashionistas, foodies and CrossFit freaks everywhere left and right, but what about movie buffs? Where are they? Where are those people who psychoanalyze every scene from every movie with passion flooding from their eyes? WHERE? Well, Abtal Holyood have come to fill this void in our country that oh-so begged to be filled. What is Abtal Holyood you ask?

It’s Egypt’s newest online talk show that is all about movies. We’ve sat down with its presenter, Ossama Reda El-Barkouky, to find out more about this exciting project. “The idea started with me, Ahmed El-Beheiry, who will be directing it and Mustafa Sharara, who will be producing it. We created Abtal Holyood because we felt that there is a good opportunity to introduce an online movies critique show with rich content that movie goers will *cough* hopefully *cough* love *cough*.”
