Zuhair Murad’s designs are instantly recognizable for their unique style and rich detail, drawing heavily on inspiration from different cultures around the world. During this year’s Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week, Murad stunned us yet again when he so beautifully blended Ancient Egyptian heritage with modern design. In recent fashion shows, we saw collections inspired by Russian and Native American culture and even sea life, but he apparently set his eyes on Ancient Egypt for his Spring/Summer line.
Zuhair Murad’s new Pharaonic-inspired collection consists of body-hugging ballgowns, luxurious skirts, and dresses, covered in Egyptian symbology and patterns of all shapes and sizes. As always, Murad’s magic touch took traditional design to a whole new level, merging ancient worlds with modern couture in a way only he can.
