Palestinian-Jordanian artist Zeyne has released live reinterpretations of three tracks from her debut album, AWDA, in a new EP titled ‘AWDA’. The project features stripped-down versions of ‘Bali’, ‘Si3r Il Hob’, and ‘Arrib Minni’, reimagined through an intimate live setting.
Centred on live instrumentation and a powerful vocal performance, the new versions peel back the layered production of the original recordings to highlight the emotional core of each track. The stripped arrangements allow Zeyne’s voice and the musicianship behind the songs to take centre stage, evoking a deeper sense of introspection and vulnerability.
Across the live sessions, each track reveals a different emotional dimension. In ‘Bali’, Zeyne reflects on the emotional unrest of trying to stay grounded in an ever-shifting world. ‘Si3r Il Hob’ examines love through the lens of imbalance, questioning what happens when giving and receiving no longer feel equal. Meanwhile, ‘Arrib Minni’ captures a softer vulnerability, tracing the quiet ache of loving someone from afar and the uncertainty of an unspoken connection.
The project arrives ahead of Zeyne’s EU/UK tour in support of AWDA, which kicks off on March 30 in Amsterdam and will see the artist perform across major cities, including Berlin, Paris, London, Brussels, and Istanbul.
