Understanding Islam

It started out like any other day, waking up and spending hours in bed thinking about where my life is heading. Eventually, I had to get out of bed to check the million notifications I heard from my phone, as most tech obsessed people of our generation are. Facebook has become like my home page; I have to check it before I can fully open my eyes – then I saw it !

A video shared by one of my friends, it was called “What is Islam? “ As always it was written in Arabic, claiming “that you will regret not opening it” and that immediately put me off. A couple of hours later I saw the same video, but a couple more of my friends were sharing it too. So I forced myself to open it and it HIT me.

It simply was amazing, it made me speechless that there were young men who still loved their religion that much to face rejection and backlash. I felt useless in light of what they were doing, that I couldn’t stand up for any of my beliefs “ Being lazy and all”

It takes courage to do what these young men did. I salute them!

Check out the video, from the young men living in Australia, who were tired of people that didn’t know anything about Islam and pretty much believed all Muslims are terrorists, so they decided to educate people about Islam themselves.
