UEFA EURO 2012 – JUNE 28th ROUND UP
This will be perhaps the shortest football review I will ever write because yet another game (one of the most highly anticipated games of the tournament) ended in penalties. Though the match itself was rather unimpressive, both Portugal and Spain had at least one strong scoring opportunity, but neither side managed to find the back of the net. So with 90 minutes of game time plus an extra half hour of extra time over, both squads huddled and began to decide who would take the five decisive shots.
I won’t even go into detail about the shoot out because i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again… shootouts are not the way to decide a game winner or the better team for that matter. For once, C. Ronaldo’s tears were warranted.
Two words.
Cheap. Win.
Tonight’s game better not come to the same end. Catch the Italy vs Germany round up later this evening.
