These Syrian Muslims Use Instagram to Fight Daesh and It’s Inspiring
Extremists like Daesh depend on people’s ignorance of Islam to grow. That’s why the more people know about Islam’s true teachings–and what Muslims truly believe–the less they’ll fall for Daesh’s propaganda. Which is where Instagram account muslims_against_daesh comes into place. Created by Syrians, the social media platform aims to shed light on what true Islam is, and how Daesh has nothing to do with it.
Through their posts, muslims_against_daesh prove indeed that Islam is a religion of peace as they garnered over 29,000 followers. Not only that, the Instagram account is also used a beacon of hope for Syrians and others affected by the militant group.
