Canadian Swimmer to Swim the Gulf of Aqaba for the First Time

In an effort to spread a message to the world, a very big message, one that says Sinai (and the area around it) is a safe destination for visitors, Canadian swimmer Norman Piche plans to swim from Egypt to Jordan for the very first time.

Piche will cross the Gulf of Aqaba on the Sinai Peninsula by swimming in open near kayak from Taba Heights in Sinai to Tala Bay Marina in Jordan. The human Flipper also aims to shed some light on eco-sports in local communities in the region.
