Many women face the problem of being filmed without consent at public events—whether weddings, concerts, parties, or other gatherings—only to later find these videos circulating online. The impact can be deeply negative and long-lasting.
To fight this growing phenomenon on social media, Speak Up has launched a new service to help women remove such unauthorized videos. By simply filling out a form through the Speak Up helpline, users can request takedowns across major platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Pinterest, TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, and Threads.
