For 25 years the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund has been working around the region to help heal the wounds of war and occupation. The organization doesn’t take day offs, especially not in Ramadan. This holy month, the PCRF is focusing on a very special case that needs an abundance of love and charity, Syrian children. Five years after the civil war, it is impossible to find a child who has not been untouched by the devastation.

PCRF’s #Promise4Syria aims to bring compassion, life, and comfort to Syrian refugee children during the month of giving. Along with continuing their amazing work with the Syrian Relief Project, the NGO has identified 15 Syrian refugee families with children living in Gaza which they are currently working to support with humanitarian aid including, clothing, food, medical care and other basic necessities.

The PCRF has expanded its healing hands and hearts to more than just Palestinian children over the years, in particular the Syrian Relief Project which was created to focus on children who were forced to flee their home country and seek refugee in Jordan, Lebanon, and the Gaza Strip. The NGO offers a range of humanitarian relief and health services for the young refugees. From screenings to medicine to surgery, the PCRF aims to provide every Syrian child within their reach a brighter and promising future by providing them with adequate healthcare they deserve.

(Palestine Children's Relief Fund) The Shurab family fled from the Yarmouk refugee camp in Damascus. Five-year-old Mahmoud and his one-year-old sister, Fayroz, found refuge in Gaza with their parents. Their father has not secured work and they are in desperate need of funds to help cover living expenses, food, diapers, and clothing. With your donations, we could provide these necessary items for them while giving them a stable home and life.

Throughout the month, the PCRF will share real stories of Syrian children who were forced to flee their homes for safety and their struggle to find stability in the diaspora. Sounds really depressing? No because there’s a way you can directly help them!

The organization has set up online sponsorships which allows you to support the child or family with whatever their specific case requires. Donating whatever you can afford can help these Syrian refugees find solace and hope for tomorrow.

WE SAID THIS: You can make a #Promise4Syria on PCRF’s website.
