Driving from Cairo to Matrouh Will Only Take One Hour and a Half?
We Egyptians love to road trip. Be it Sahel for some fun in the sun, Alexandria for some waklet samak, or Fayoum for its Instagrammable lake, and anything that means we could arrive to our destination in a shorter time will make us happier than Cersei on Game of Thrones’ season six finale.
Well, it seems that the exact thing just happened. According to Dostor, the new Cairo-Matrouh road began its experimental phase today. The new road will take just an hour and a half to get from Cairo to Matrouh, instead of three hours. It will start from Juhayna Square in 6th of October City until Ra’s El 7ekma village in Matrouh.
