Minister of Petroleum Tarek El-Molla: Egypt Will Save Around $1.5 bn a Year By Cutting LNG Imports

Egypt has been setting new records when it comes to the oil and gas sector and we can’t be more proud. Around a couple of weeks ago, the ministry announced that Egypt has achieved self-sufficiency of natural gas and that we won’t be importing any anymore.

But since that the ministry has done its math; apparently, we will be saving around 1.5 bn a year by cutting the Liquified natural gas (LNG) imports.
