Some dreams are so surreal they sound unreal when spoken out loud. In Arabic, we call that fe al-meshmesh—a beautiful, almost impossible daydream. And somehow, that very dream is now walking the streets of Paris.
Just one year into its journey, Egyptian 3D-printed handbag brand MESH–MESH makes its on-screen debut today in the new season of Emily in Paris, premiering December 18, 2025, worn by Lily Collins as Emily Cooper herself. A full-circle moment, if there ever was one.

Why Elhabra Bag Fits Perfectly in Emily’s Wardrobe
Emily Cooper has never whispered through fashion, it’s always been loud as ever. Her wardrobe is fearless, emotional, and unapologetically expressive. As costume designer Marylin Fitoussi explains, the show’s fashion is “a whimsical abstraction,” never meant to play it safe.
Five seasons in, Emily’s outfits remain part of the plot, each look a mood, a rebellion, or a celebration. She layers colors boldly, accessorizes dramatically, and treats clothing like joyful self-expression. In that world, a sculptural, ruby-red, 3D-printed bag doesn’t just belong, it thrives.
“Alhambra bag is designed to symbolise new experiences,” shares co-founder Fatma El Alawy. “A theme that perfectly mirrors the current stage of Emily Cooper’s narrative.”

All About The Alhambra Bag
An Architectural Ode
The bag featured on the show is the Alhambra Bag in Ruby. Its curvaceous, egg-like silhouette is inspired by the Alhambra Palace.
Delicate geometric patterns echo muqarnas domes, arches stretch and morph into handles, and flowing forms recall water tracing its way through palace channels. Perspectives are flipped: inside becomes outside, scale is reimagined, and history is filtered through a futuristic lens.

Made Possible by Futuristic 3D Printing
Made possible only through advanced 3D printing, the Alhambra bag is cured by light, layer by layer, one-tenth of a millimeter at a time. Each piece is then hand-polished to glass-like transparency, artistically painted, and lovingly inspected. The result is luminous, architectural, and quietly mesmerizing—until that ruby hue catches the light.

MESH–MESH
Founded in 2024 by sisters Fatma and Shaimaa El Alawy, MESH–MESH was born from curiosity, cultural memory, and digital experimentation. The name draws from two worlds: the digital mesh objects sculpted in CAD software and materialized through 3D printing, and the Egyptian proverb fe al-meshmesh—a longing for something beautiful, elusive, and almost impossible.
For a brand at the very beginning of its story, being chosen by Emmy-nominated stylists Marylin Fitoussi and Shawn Ragonneau is nothing short of extraordinary. On spotting Lily Collins carrying the bag, El Alawy up the stairs screaming, “We made it!” knowing this moment will change a lot.

A Beautiful Daydream, Made Real
MESH–MESH lives at the intersection of fantasy and precision, slowness and play, heritage and future tech. Seeing the Alhambra bag carried by Emily Cooper feels like proof that some dreams are meant to materialize. Sometimes, against all odds, they’re printed into reality—layer by luminous layer.
