Justin Bieber’s Retiring?

The Internet almost broke when Los Angeles radio station Power 106 released a clip this week of Justin Bieber announcing his retirement.

He was asked about his new single and he said, “I’m actually, uh, I’m retiring, man…I’m just gonna take some time. I think I’m probably gonna quit music.”

The news soon went viral, with fans screaming, “OMGNoooooo”, and everyone else fist pumping, “Yessssss finally”.

Too bad it was all just a (very) bad joke.

The rest of the interview was aired the following day, in which Bieber said, “I’m quitting. I’m going to go golf… No, I’m just messing around.”

Apparently, when MTV News caught up with Justin at the Believe premiere, he looked confused.

All he had to say was, “I don’t know if that’s a joke, I don’t know. I don’t know.”

“I wanna get to know my family more, figure out myself as a man, I’ve been away so much, I’ve missed a lot of great years with my brother and sister.”

WE SAID THIS: It just had to be too good to be true.
