We stand amazed by those who have exceptional skills in Maths. Those who can pass all the numbers properly arrange, sum, multiply, integrate and differentiate them super fast have captivated all of our admiration.
Ali Abdullah Al-Daffa, nicknamed by Mathematicians in the US as the “King of Integration” is also hailed by his home country, Saudi Arabia, as the greatest Saudi mathematician of his time. He saw through the graduation of many students from Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals as well as Harvard University.
He added to our libraries over 49 books and helped in the development of mathematics curricula in Saudi Arabia about 40 years ago. As most honorable men would give credit to their mothers, Al-Daffa said that the main reason behind his success was his mother.
“My mother used to always tell me that if I found a math problem difficult, I should always go back to her and ask,” Daffa said.“I remember how my mother struggled for 70 years to provide a good living for us,” he added.
