Amani Al-Khatahtbeh is not a video clip model just like everybody else who was in the video, the producers used female celebrities with diverse origins and backgrounds and who have made a huge difference in our world such as; Ellen DeGeneres, Lilly Singh, Ashley Graham, Rita Ora, Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Camila Cabello and other 26 huge female influencers.
Amani is an American author and tech entrepreneur, who has started her website MuslimGirl.com and was the first Muslim veiled woman to be listed in Forbes’ 30 under 30 in media, which made MuslimGirl the first Muslim company on the list. Al-Khatahtbeh, she was also named as one of the most influential Muslim women at the age of 25 by CNN. She then began her career in major media organizations.
Earlier in her life, she’d escaped New Jersey to avoid Islamophobia, and now she’s a spokesperson for Muslims who suffer discrimination giving lectures in mosques and partnering up with Teen Vogue to discuss issues American Muslims face in America in a 2016 series.
The other Hijabi girl is Ilhan Omar; a Somali-American politician from Minnesota, she was born to a Yemeni mother and a Somali dad, she managed to get elected as a Democratic-Farmer-Labour Party member of the Minnesota house of representatives, she is also Director of Policy and Initiatives of the Women Organizing Women Network.
Time magazine mentioned her in their “Firsts: Women who are changing the world”, which is a special project on 46 women who shine in different domains in life.
