Harlem Shake At the Pyramids Goes Awry

We’ve voiced our hate for the Harlem Shake, and it didn’t take long for a bunch of Egyptian’s to jump on the bandwagon and use the pyramids as a backdrop. (Not too shabby of an idea, since we’re sure a couple of thousand people will look at it, indirect touristic advertising?)

But like most things in Egypt, it went awry, when the Egyptian police didn’t think that the Harlem Shake and the scantily clad youngins was appropriate. Stopped in the middle of the shoot, the group of “students” as they have been called, had their efforts halted and four arrested.

The boys were arrested for indecent exposure and disturbing the peace.

Regardless of all the roadblocks they still managed to get a video up.
