From April 24 to 26, Abu Dhabi will transform into a hub of pop culture as families, friends, and geeks gather at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi for the region’s largest celebration of all things film, comics, gaming, and anime, Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC). From acclaimed movie stars and world-class cosplayers to the illustrators behind some of the most iconic international comics, here’s who you can meet at MEFCC this year.
Simu Liu
After making his mark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Shang-Chi in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (2021), a role fans are eager to see reprise in Avengers: Doomsday (2026), Chinese-Canadian actor Simu Liu is heading to Abu Dhabi. Also known for his standout roles in Barbie (2023) and the hit sitcom Kim’s Convenience (2016), Liu is set to meet fans at the MFECC, bringing his superhero energy to the event.

Christopher Judge
The iconic voice behind Kratos, the legendary protagonist of the God of War video game series, is heading to Abu Dhabi to meet die-hard gamers who know his voice all too well. You’ll also recognize his unmistakable tone from his roles as Magneto in the series X-Men: Evolution (2000) and Jericho in Turok (2008), making his appearance a must for longtime fans of gaming and animation alike.


Alan Quah
With an impressive résumé featuring major names like Marvel, DC, and Lucasfilm, Malaysian artist Alan Quah is the illustrator behind some of the industry’s most striking comic book covers. With more than 400 covers to his name, including The Marvels, Wolverine, Star Wars, Nightwing, Green Lantern, Doom Patrol, Batman, DuckTales, and G.I. Joe, Quah is one of the most distinctive artists you can meet there.


Federico Vicentini
Italian comic book artist Federico Vicentini has been creating art for Marvel since 2019, so naturally, comic book fans can’t stop buzzing about his upcoming visit to Abu Dhabi. Having worked on titles like Absolute Carnage: Miles Morales, Amazing Spider-Man, Falcon & Winter Soldier, Heroes Reborn: Blur, Wolverine, X: Deaths of Wolverine, Miles Morales, and Imperial, Vicentini is currently bringing his talent to the Cyclops miniseries.


Brett Breeding
With a remarkable career spanning over 46 years, where he brought iconic characters to life for Marvel and DC Comics, fans are eager to meet the artist behind some of their favorite comic books. Breeding is heading to Abu Dhabi, ready to connect with fans and share the stories behind beloved creations, including DC Comics’ Doomsday, Blaze, Lord Satanus, and Shadowdragon, as well as Marvel Comics’ Dargo Thor.

Ashley Ilunaneko
This Dutch cosplayer brings beloved characters to life with creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and performances that truly sell the part. She has built a career from this passion as a costume and theatre designer, and has cultivated a strong social media presence where she showcases her transformative work.
