Fans are Comparing Mostafa Shaaban to Adel Emam and They Could Not be More Wrong
The 2020 Ramadan series race looks more exciting than expected, with announcements of very promising projects taking place every other day. Whether it’s the casts, the trailers, or the concepts, it’s clear that this year’s race will be hotter than that of 2019! One of the projects that is already garnering much attention and debates is Mostafa Shaaban’s Hatta La Yateer El Dokhan.
The series has the same name and follows the same story of one of the most successful movies for the legendary Adel Emam. The movie was released in 1984, and it was an adaptation of a novel by Ehsan Abdel Qudos.
36 years-later, as Mostafa Shaaban is set to take on the same role, people are already drawing comparisons and criticizing the series before it started. No one is claiming that the series will be better than the movie, not even Mostafa Shaaban, but it really doesn’t seem fair that people are already ranting about the series before even watching it.
In a media junket at the Cairo Book Fair, Mostafa Shaaban said that Adel Emam always encourages and supports him, sending a message to all the people who are comparing.
