We’re always proud of Egyptian start-ups that take things to the next level, not only revolutionizing their market locally, but also invading the global market!

Egyptian Transportation Powerhouse, Swvl, did just that! Swvl has kicked off their global expansion by launching in Kenya, and they’re now on their way to launch in Uganda!

Swvl launched in mid-January, in Nairobi, operating twelve lines in the city, enabling users to book bus seats for different stops on these lines in few easy steps through the mobile app. According to Digest Africa, Swvl is looking for a General Manager for their expansion in Uganda. He’s going to be responsible for the development and growth of Swvl’s business in Kampala and Uganda as a whole and to be leading efforts to roll out Swvl’s transportation system.

The global expansion comes after they raised tens of millions of dollars in its Series B, at a valuation that comes close to $100 million in November of last year.

WE SAID THIS: We wonder what Swvl’s next destination is going to be?
