Egypt is inching closer to winter’s official arrival. In just 64 days, the country will cross into the coldest stretch of the year, beginning Sunday, December 21st, 2025, and lasting for 88 days and 23 hours. Autumn, which began on September 22, will soon hand over its mild skies to the sharp chill of the solstice season.

In addition, Egypt is set to switch to winter time at midnight on Thursday, October 30th, 2025, when clocks will be turned back by one hour—from 12:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The change marks the official end of daylight saving time in accordance with Law No. 24 of 2023, which stipulates that summer time ends on the last Thursday of October each year.
