Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly on Tuesday inaugurated the International Academy of Architecture and Urbanism (IAAU) in the New Administrative Capital, created in partnership with UNESCO and three leading European universities. The institution aims to establish Egypt as a regional hub for architectural knowledge and urban planning.

The academy will be closely linked to Egypt’s flagship projects, including the New Administrative Capital, New Alamein, and the redevelopment of Historic Cairo. Cooperation agreements signed at the launch with UNESCO and universities in France, Italy, and the Netherlands will enable dual degrees, joint research, and mobility programs, supporting sustainable development and advancing Egypt’s role in regional and global urban innovation.
