A team of Oscar-winning filmmakers behind Dune will lead two days of masterclasses in Abu Dhabi on November 1st and 2nd, organized by the Creative Media Authority in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Film Commission and Creative Lab. The full-day sessions will be held at Sandstorm Studio in Yas Creative Hub and open to 100 participants per day.
The workshops will feature Dune production designer Patrice Vermette alongside Legendary Entertainment executives Herb Gains and Sam Kozhaya, who will share insights into set design, production logistics, budgeting, and the creative process behind large-scale Hollywood films.
The event is part of Abu Dhabi’s wider strategy to strengthen its film ecosystem and attract global productions, following major titles shot in the emirate, including Dune, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Registration for the masterclasses is now open through the Creative Media Authority website.
