It’s been more than 48 hours and Mohamed Hassan’s body is still lost somewhere unknown near the Alexandrian shore under the famous Stanly Bridge. The 21-year-old young man, born and raised in Matrouh, is a Faculty of Commerce student at University of Tanta. Along with two of his friends; Ashraf Zein El Abedeen and Mohamed El Houfy, the three guys were spending the day in Alexandria when a horrific accident took place.

At a very high speed, a car came hitting the three young men who were taking a photo together; one memory they didn’t know it would be their last, at least for Hassan. Divers were able to find both El Abedeen and El Houfy, however, they still haven’t found Hassan.

Mohamed Hassan’s family members are staying on the shore were their son supposedly fell, hoping to find his body. A live video that went viral shows the mother’s terrible state; not sure whether to mourn or keep her hopes high.

According to eyewitnesses at the time, the driver; Ithab Wassef Girguis, was said to be drunk. Girguis, a 19 year-old student at the Faculty of Commerce, University of Alexandria, was arrested and is currently being investigated with.

Hassan wrote a Facebook status, over two months ago, that seems like an old interpretation to where his fate has lead him. Even though no body was found and it is still not confirmed whether Hassan has survived or met his end, his friends started posting comments on his Facebook profile praying for his soul to rest in peace.
