Disney Does Clones

3D technology has been a hot topic for the past 5 years, but how far can you take it? And what can be done with it? Well Disney has just proved to the world once again why they are pioneers when it comes to a lot of fields.

Disney Research in Zurich, Switzerland, have developed a new process called “Physical Face Cloning” that allows it to create realistic animatronic characters. The technology scans the head of a human before putting the coordinates and expressions into a 3D program.

The 3D generation scanning is super accurate that it senses face movements an mimics expressions to new levels that have never been seen before.

It is said to be a revolutionary discovery in the world of robotic characters and is going to transform the Disney theme parks, after they are deployed, into a something way more than they already are.
