Direct Flights Between London’s Heathrow and Egypt’s Luxor Have Resumed

We’re crossing our fingers here, but we might have just taken the first step in bringing tourists back to Egypt’s globally adored antiquities: direct flights between London’s Heathrow and Luxor have resumed, according to the Guardian.
“The good news for us,” John Telfer of Explore Worldwide told the Guardian. “It sends a good, calming message to potential travellers that the situation is stable and improving.” A quick look on Egypt Air’s website shows one flight per week, on Mondays: flying from Luxor to London in the morning, and from London to Cairo in the afternoon.
Okay, so, we get that it’s only once a week, and London-Sharm flights still haven’t been resumed, but… it’s a start, right?!
WE SAID THIS: Yalla, come on Egypt. You got this. Let’s get those tourists back!
