The 2025 men’s T20 Asia Cup is officially happening in the UAE, and cricket fans have plenty to get excited about. Dubai and Abu Dhabi will host the tournament, bringing together eight of the top teams in the region.
Running from September 9 to 28, the Asia Cup will feature a total of 19 matches, 11 in Dubai and eight in Abu Dhabi. Expect tight fixtures, major rivalries, and packed stadiums.
Dubai vs. Abu Dhabi: Who’s Hosting What?
Abu Dhabi will kick things off with the tournament opener between Afghanistan and Hong Kong.
Dubai, on the other hand, gets the lion’s share of the spotlight, including the much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match on September 14 and the grand final on September 28.

Who’s Playing?
This year’s edition features eight teams—two more than the last tournament.
Group A includes defending champions India, Pakistan, UAE, and Oman. Group B is made up of Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. The top teams from each group will move on to the Super Four stage, leading up to the final in Dubai.
Why the UAE?
According to ACC President Mohsin Naqvi, the UAE is the ideal host thanks to its strong infrastructure and passionate cricket fanbase.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi are no strangers to international cricket, and the ACC says they’re ready to deliver a smooth, world-class tournament for fans, players, and broadcasters alike.
