Confirmed Exclusive : American Rapper Kanye West to Perform at Saqqara Pyramids on April 20th
You heard it here first. Rumors have been circulating that Mega Rap Star Kanye West is to be performing in Egypt, and now we have it on authority that Falcons and Venture Lifestyle, the event entrepreneurs who brought Egypt names like JLo, John Legend, and the Black Eyed Peas, are bringing Kanye West to perform in Cairo on April 20th, 2024.
The Rapper, Producer, and Lifestyle sensation is set to perform on a bespoke set to be built in the most exciting location of all, The Saqqara Necropolis.
The Saqqara Necropolis
Located South of Cairo, Saqqara was the major necropolis of the Ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis, and is the location where Egypt’s oldest pyramid exists: the Step Pyramid of Djoser.
Saqqara is the largest archaeological site in Egypt and hosts what’s estimated to be the largest collection of yet-to-be-unearthed historical artifacts, tombs, and more.
What This Means for Egypt’s Tourism
This concert is a step in the right direction for the nation’s drive to promote itself as an international destination for artists, musicians, and all types of performers while promoting the rich, diverse heritage of a country whose history is a whole science topic: Egyptology.
Hosting a star of Kanye West’s stature in Egypt also signifies the nation’s drive towards more sustainable tourism development for economic growth, evident in the recent announcement of the development of North Coast’s Ras El Hekma as Africa’s own Nice-like resort town.
