Baby Born on Board on Etihad Airways Flight from Abu Dhabi
On an Etihad Airways flight from Abu Dhabi an Indonesian lady went into labor and delivered a child while in en route to Jakarta, on Wednesday, 24th of October, 2018.
According to the Khaleej Times, the flight had to be diverted to the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai, as the woman gave birth mid-air.
The lady and her newborn are currently recovering at Andheri East’s Seven Hills Hospital, an Etihad Airways spokesperson confirmed in a statement. The airline has apologized for the two-hour delay caused by the diversion of the flight. “We regret any inconvenience caused. The safety of our guests and crew is Etihad Airways’ highest priority,” he said.
