Arab Designers Participating in New York Fashion Week 2019

New York Fashion Week is starting off strong with All Things Mochi kicking off the first day. The runways will feature top international brands including Rihanna’s Savage X Fenty and New York’s very own, Rag and Bone. Amongst the A-list, the NYFW schedule features Arab designers from different backgrounds throughout the weekdays. Beyond the shows, The New Face of Fashion was hosted by two of the most inspirational Muslim women in the game.

Established in 2013, the fun handcrafted brand features vibrant collections from light beachwear to children and swimwear. The empowering brand uses its founder and designer, Ayah Tabari’s background of mixed cultures to integrate meaning into clothing and accessories.

Elie Tahari

Elie’s passionate vision of the sexy, elegant, feminine and empowered women landed him a $300 million brand. The founder, designer and chairman of Elie Tahari evolved in 40 countries in the past decade, tailoring his passion a suit and a dress at a time. This mix-match of femininity and power is undoubtedly found on the runway through contrasting fabrics like shiny leather and lace.
