“AlaKhutah” to Take Visitors on the Prophet’s Path From Mecca to Medina Starting November

Turki Alalshikh has revealed his plans for the “AlaKhutah” project, which will simulate a captivating experience that replicates the Prophet Muhammad’s historic Hijrah from Mecca to Medina.

Set to launch in November, this project promises to deepen visitors’ understanding of Islamic history while aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Revitalizing Islamic Historical Sites

The project spans 470 kilometers, and most of them will be traveled on foot for a faithful rendition of the journey from Mecca to Medina.

The path includes 41 significant historical landmarks, five of which highlight key moments from the Prophet’s Hijrah. In addition, the “Museum of Migration” area will offer immersive exhibits, enriching the visitors’ journey and connection to the sacred sites.

A Cultural and Spiritual Experience

Prince Salman emphasized that “AlaKhutah” reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to preserving Islamic heritage, with a focus on the Two Holy Mosques and the Guests of God.

It integrates cultural, religious, and human values, offering an exceptional, faith-based experience for visitors. Turki Alalshikh’s project is also in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals, promoting Saudi Arabia’s cultural legacy through local dining experiences and tent-inspired resting areas along the route.

What’s Next?

Turki Alalshikh confirmed that the “AlaKhutah” project will run for six months starting in November. The Kingdom’s leadership is committed to developing these sites to international standards, ensuring this experience becomes a landmark in Saudi Arabia’s rich Islamic history.
