A Scoop of Hope: Egyptian Fresca Seller Steals Our Hearts and Gets a Full Scholarship at the Same Time

In case you didn’t check your social media newsfeed yesterday, a viral video of an Egyptian Fresca seller named Ibrahim Abdel Nasser on a beach in Alexandria has been circulating, showing the young man having a conversation with a man saying that he just graduated Thanawya Amma with a high score of 99.6% and explaining how he hopes to make his father happy and achieve his dream of studying medicine.

The viral video reached doctor Hany Younes, media advisor to the Prime Minister, who also shared the video on his Facebook page captioning it: “To the young man Ibrahim, and to everyone who knows Ibrahim, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education, is trying to reach you. He wants to communicate with you immediately.”

Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, later announced that the ministry is willing to support Ibrahim and provide him with a full scholarship to study at whichever university he prefers! The ministry described Ibrahim as a “model for hardworking youth” in Egypt

Ibrahim was very happy with the news and chose to study at Alexandria University.

WE SAID THIS: Such a nice gesture from the ministry!
